There are 1.3 billion Chinese native speakers in the world and roughly 70% speak Mandarin. No matter what your goal is, learning Chinese can help give a different view of the world. To make you understand the process of Chinese learning, look at these small facts:  

- If you know approximately 2,500 Chinese characters, you can read a Chinese newspaper. 

- There are six levels in total if you want to obtain the HSK certificate. To arrive at the fifth or sixth levels, you would need to know about 6,000 Chinese characters.  

Basic Chinese for Beginners:

To master Chinese pronunciation, students will learn Pinyin, Chinese characters, and how to speak in simple sentences. Enjoy learning with native Mandarin speakers, who are professors from the University of China. 

HSK Preparation Course:

There are 6 levels for HSK (pinyin), which is translated as the Chinese Proficiency Test used in China. It is a standardized test of Standard Chinese Language Proficiency for non-native speakers and it is from China. If you want to get into the University of China, you need to obtain the certificate.
 

Here is a rough view of what each level is capable of doing:

· HSK 1 – Understands basic Chinese words and phrases

· HSK 2 – Uses basic Chinese and apply it to complete simple tasks

· HSK 3 – Communicates daily for academic and professional purposes

· HSK 4 – Converses fluently in various topics with native Chinese speakers

· HSK 5 – Speaks fluently and can read a Chinese newspaper

· HSK 6 – Can express whatever is desired through written or oral communication
